Shanna Dempsey is an editor of commercials, music videos, short films, and documentaries.

Growing up in rural northwestern Montana, she was emersed in mountains and wildlife, which fed a passion for the outdoors and influenced how she matured as an artist. Shanna studied painting and film at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated from the Vancouver Film School in 2007, where she concentrated on Editing, Directing, and Cinematography.

Having a background in Visual Arts helps strengthen herself as an editor not only aesthetically but also as a storyteller. Shanna's strength is finding opportunities to tell a story through nuanced detail. In 2015 she moved to Detroit with her family, focusing on advertising, short films, and documentary work.
